Mr. Mar’ie was my host for this tour and he was fantastic! He answered all my (many many) questions and shared his insights into not just the places we saw but contemporary Indonesia and Jakarta more broadly. I’m a political scientist so I have high standards for this sort of thing and they were exceeded!

Alex was a passionate and enthusiastic guide. Great to be around. His route was very walkable, which I appreciated. He has a good sense of people. Been sharing nuggets of history to friends since!

I had Alex as a guide and his tour was such a amazing experience. He took me around Makati, a developing city center, stopping at fancy residential areas, the red light district and surrounding street for the locals. Most of the time he gave a great deal of story telling full of quantity and quality, which entirely made me feel like familialized with Phillipino Society. I thought it was possible as he had a good balance of his love and critical point of views towards Phillipines. I learned so many things, I never captured the image of a country like him I was totally overwhelmed by his insight I felt like I am watching fine quality of documentary. Adding more, he was open to my questions. Overall, I can definitely recommend his tour to anyone visiting Manilla.
Learned so much, very glad we went on this tour! Still thinking about it.

Gustavo gave us a great overview of Mexico City’s political history and took us through a fascinating walk through Centro. We learned things we couldn’t have discovered on our own. We feel like we better understand the current political moment in the city. It was interesting from beginning to end!
