Independent contractors (“Hosts”) lead the walks and experiences booked through theplanetwonk.com. In order to deliver your booked walk or experience, it is necessary to share certain personal data with the Host assigned to your booking. Without this, your booking cannot be fulfilled.

4.2 What data we share

We share the following data with the Host for your booking:

  • Your full name

  • Your email address

  • Your phone number (where provided)

  • The date, time, and nature of your booked walk or experience

  • Any access, health, or accommodation needs you have disclosed to us

4.3 Purpose and restriction

This data is shared solely for the following purposes:

  • To allow the Host to identify you at the meeting point

  • To allow the Host to contact you with pre-walk information, directions, or updates

  • To allow the Host to manage the booking operationally

Hosts are not permitted to use your personal data for any other purpose, including marketing, profiling, or any communication unrelated to your booking.

4.4 Host as independent data controller

Each Host may act as an independent data controller in respect of personal data they receive about you. Planetwonk is not responsible for the data processing practices of independent Hosts beyond what is set out above. If you have concerns about how a Host has used your personal data, you may contact us at info@theplanetwonk.com and we will take reasonable steps to assist.

4.5 Data processor agreements

Where Planetwonk shares personal data with third-party service providers acting as data processors on our behalf (including email platforms, analytics providers, and hosting providers), we have entered into or will enter into written data processing agreements compliant with Article 28 GDPR, requiring those processors to process your data only on our documented instructions and in accordance with applicable data protection law.
