My friends and I loved our tours with Isaac. We would highly recommend anything he leads if you're interested in learning more about modern Athens/Greece! It's clear that he's passionate about the subjects and has devoted significant time to research and learning, and he also does a great job of "translating" his knowledge to the tour participants' local context without making reductive comparisons, as well as structuring the content in a way that makes its inherent complexity easier to digest.
Isaac’s tour is a one-of-a-kind experience that far exceeded my expectations. I was looking for something unique, something away from the tourist hordes and the Disney-like facades of tourist Athens. Isaac’s tour was an eye-opening experience very grounded in the complex political and social realities of the present day. His real-world perspectives and delightfully irreverent attitudes are very easy to connect with, and his advanced level of English makes it easy to have rich exchanges. This tour changed my thinking. Not to be missed!
Mary was very welcoming and easy to be with - and so informed about LGBT history across Athens. It was a really lovely afternoon learning more about evolving political situation in Greece and the liberation of LGBT communities - as well as some of the continuing struggles. Really nice to connect with local LGBT community -
and an important accompaniment to just heading to the local LGBT bar! Thanks Mary - a really interesting and informative time!!

This tour was AMAZING. Mary is a library of information on the LGBTQ history and movement in Greece, and a great storyteller and activist. We saw and learned so much we never would have without her, and it was easily one of the highlights of our time here. Highly recommended to any and all!

This is a great introduction to LGBTQI issues in Greece, both past and current, from a knowledgeable activist. Mary will give you the backstory on a number of issues as well as an outlook on what’s currently going on on the scene. Brace yourselves because it’s not just sparkles and rainbows but contains some heavy stuff, but Mary will give you some hope at the end as well :)
