About this tour

Argentina is renowned for its tango, its traditional barbecue, and—more recently—its recurrent financial crises. Yet, at the close of the 19th century, it was one of the wealthiest nations in the world. Today, it doesn’t even rank among the top 60 economies. How did a country with such promise experience such a dramatic fall from grace? What series of events led Argentina to its ongoing economic challenges?

Join us for an interactive storytelling walk through the city, blending documentary-style analysis with the thrill of street exploration.

Our impartial approach examines both social and political dynamics, tracing their evolution from the birth of the modern state to the present day. This allows you to form your own insights and opinions about Argentina’s complex history.

Discover unexpected stories, uncover hidden facets of the city, and deepen your understanding of this fascinating country—whether you’re a politics enthusiast or simply curious to learn more.

This walk is conducted in English by default. If you would prefer to join in Spanish, please inform us so we can confirm availability.

The guide was very knowledgeable and provided a very informative tour. I have spent about a year in Buenos Aires and know a lot about Argentine history, and this was still a great learning experience. I recommend it.

Walking with Lila and listening to her tell us about the history of her city was very nice: we heard a very interesting insight into the history of the last years of Argentina that we could hardly have experienced as simple tourists. The activity is absolutely recommended!
