Highly recommended tour! I wish I had booked this earlier into my trip. Isaac has a highly effective way of weaving a LOT of information into a nuanced, objective and coherent narrative/timeline which really helped me understand more about Athens, Greece, Greeks and the region post-ancient times. Don't skip this tour!

This was a great experience and I recommend it entirely. It's especially great for those who have already been to Athens before, or are residents, and want to see something away from the usual ancient history. Great stories and some fascinating insights into places almost totally unvisited by tourists. For a "beyond the tourist brochure" look into modern history and life, sign up for this tour. Really interesting and unusual tour. I was wondering why some parts of Athens look they way they do and this was a great way to find out. We explored parts of the city we wouldn’t have found otherwise. The tour guide was very kind and knowledgeable, he gave a thorough background to any questions we had, and went out of his way to help us find a specific shop at the end of the walk too. Thank you!
