All cities you visit should have a tour like Isaac’s ‘social political walk’. He doesn’t just provide a wealth of information, but synthesize it, so you get the BIG picture. Obviously, this is aimed at people with a interest in Greek society, but it’s also presented in an entertaining way, so you don’t have to be a geek to enjoy the walk.

This was a thorough discussion of the political situation in Greece using a historical lens. Isaac is passionate and well-informed. Highly recommended! It was a fairly comprehensive discussion of the current political situation in Greece that used a historical approach to better illuminate the present and add some depth beyond the news. Isaac is a passionate and knowledgeable guide. Highly recommended!

Isaac is an amazing storyteller and this tour was really interesting and engaging. We both learned a lot about the history, architecture, neighbourhoods, and political and social context of Athens. Isaac was also familiar with some of the political context in our group members’ home countries so was able to draw parallels in a way that helped all of us learn more! He was also really thoughtful about keeping us in the shade on a 35 degree day. We really enjoyed this tour and it was the perfect way to kick off our time in Athens.
We had a brilliant evening tour of central Jakarta with Mar'ie, who is a friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. We learned about Indonesian history, politics, religion, culture, transport and contemporary society, while walking around many key sites - very difficult to the average tourist walk! Mar'ie was happy to answer all our questions and was keen to find out about life and politics in our home country (the UK). Highly recommended!
