Isaac’s tour of such a niche topic was a definite must do in Athens if you are interested in this topic. I highly recommend doing this tour as it taught us so much about the Refugee crisis and more. We also got to see cool parts of Athens we would have never ventured into, which was amazing. Isaac went above and beyond for us and we ended up leaving feeling like we had made a good friend :).

I would rate this 10/5 if I could. Isaac is a masterful guide & true storyteller. He effortlessly interweaves narratives, history, facts and politics to create a digestible understanding of contemporary Greece. Open your mind, your world and your travel experience and do this tour!

Isaac's tour was a wonderful street view of many of the issues that plague us globally. He is knowledgeable and passionate about the topic, and is comfortable with discussing many different geopolitical topics. Exactly the type of tour my wife and I enjoy, as you get to peel back the sheen of tourism for just an afternoon, a learn about the experiences of all peoples in Athens. Highly recommend. I will enjoy discussing these issues with Isaac for many years to come.

My friends and I loved our tours with Isaac. We would highly recommend anything he leads if you're interested in learning more about modern Athens/Greece! It's clear that he's passionate about the subjects and has devoted significant time to research and learning, and he also does a great job of "translating" his knowledge to the tour participants' local context without making reductive comparisons, as well as structuring the content in a way that makes its inherent complexity easier to digest.

Isaac’s tour is a one-of-a-kind experience that far exceeded my expectations. I was looking for something unique, something away from the tourist hordes and the Disney-like facades of tourist Athens. Isaac’s tour was an eye-opening experience very grounded in the complex political and social realities of the present day. His real-world perspectives and delightfully irreverent attitudes are very easy to connect with, and his advanced level of English makes it easy to have rich exchanges. This tour changed my thinking. Not to be missed!
