In addition to walking around areas I would not have found on my own, Alex is both knowledgeable & passionate about the Philippines; the country but particularly Manila with all it’s contrasts & challenges and can see right into the heart of it’s people. History & life challenges which are not taught on the usual tourist trips is abundant n this walking experience.

We had a great time on the tour with Alex. He was very knowledgeable on the political and social situation of the Philippines, genuinely loves the country, and showed us spots in the city we had not been before! It was a lovely tour and walk and we would highly recommend it.

We booked this to gain a deeper understanding of Mexico at the start of our trip and this tour did not disappoint. Gustavo was a friendly guide with so much knowledge. He gave really clear descriptions of Mexico’s current and former political landscape and took us to some very interesting places we wouldn’t have visited ourselves. Highly recommend to anyone looking to learn more than is given on an average tour!

this was a fantastic tour! Gustavo was so knowledgeable, so patient, so thoughtful and he took us to surprising and important places. This is one of the best tours I’ve ever done and I learned more about Mexican politics and social history in two and a half hours than I would have in a college 101 course. Would recommend this to anyone who is seriously interested in learning about the reality of this city and country.
