Really informative, great experience to try and get an introduction to the historical and current political situation of the country.

Absolutely amazing walk and Denise was great. We learned a lot from him, politics, culture, customs! Couldn’t recommend it enough if you want to immerse in Nairobi.

We absolutely loved the Awful Athens experience. This was not the typical tourist version of Athens, and that is exactly what made it so special. It gave us a completely different perspective on the city — its history, its neighborhoods, the changes happening now, and the stories hidden behind buildings and streets most visitors would simply walk past. Our guide was engaging, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and clearly passionate about Athens. He made us look at the city differently. We saw areas that were raw, beautiful, complicated, creative, neglected, and evolving all at the same time. It felt much more like understanding the real Athens rather than simply sightseeing. We were especially fascinated by seeing neighborhoods in transition and hearing the context behind what we were looking at. The experience sparked so many conversations between us afterward, which is probably the best compliment I can give a tour.

Ardra is a wonderful guide. His engaging tour mixes history and current affairs to give a snapshot of present day Indonesia. His style is conversational and dynamic, as he readily takes questions and incorporates their themes into his narrative. Overall, a great experience and introduction to Indonesia.

My second time on Chamindri's political walk, and this time I brought a friend. It was just as gripping. Chamindri reads Colombo's streets like a text, linking colonial buildings, public spaces and recent history to the forces shaping Sri Lanka today. She's sharp, honest and generous with context, never preachy. Even second time round, I learned something new at every stop. Essential for anyone who wants to understand Colombo beyond the surface.
