We loved taking this tour with Isaac, a real highlight of our short stay in Athens. Isaacs knowledge and clear passion for the subjects covered was clear to see. His ability to link examples to individual guests own countries was very impressive. Fascinating insight to areas and topics not easily explored alone. This tour was excellent – it was easy to follow, incredibly interesting, and provided sufficient context to understand the city and country beyond the ancient ruins and delightful food. Isaac is exceptionally knowledgeable and courageous for offering a sociopolitical tour that critically examines the environment while remaining respectful. I wish we could find tours like his in every city we visit. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting the city and seeking to learn more about it.

Mary was a fantastic guide and I learned so much on this tour. I really appreciated her expertise, her enthusiasm, and her willingness to share not just the history of women in Athens but her knowledge and experience of current politics/events. We had really interesting conversations about the differences and similarities between Greece and the US. This tour was definitely a highlight of my trip to Greece.

We really enjoyed this experience. Issac gave us a full overview of the political history of modern Greece — explaining the present situation by delving into the country’s history since independence, with a few relevant stops at locations along the way. He went out of his way to make the talk relevant to us, using astute comparisons to both of our home countries to help make the information accessible. He has clearly thought deeply about Greece’s history and the talk goes through some interesting digressions while also having an overarching coherent narrative and point to make. He talks from an interesting perspective as someone who has made the country his adopted home. We came away with a richer understanding of the country, city, and our the neighbourhood where we were staying. He gave us much food for thought and we feel like we can be better tourists because of this experience. Sometimes it took some concentration to follow all the historical developments, but Issac is always receptive to questions and clarifications. Thank you so much for offering experiences like this — it is so important! If only there was a tour like this everywhere we visit.
Amazing tour around the history and present of modern indonesia along the most important political places of JKT. The guide Mar'ie is very friendly and has a very good knowledge. His girlfriend joined as well and gave a lot of information as well. We had amazing street food including details on food and eating habits. I live in Indonesia since 3 years and still learned a lot. Highly recommend. Thank you guys.
