Beyond the tea shops and the gem salesmen, this experience takes you into the heart of Sri Lankan society - helping visitors understand what really makes the island tick and what has driven the political crises of recent years.

The tour is really recommendable! The story was exciting throughout and it showed a different side of Athens that I will think about for a long time. Athens is multifaceted and if you are interested in the less touristy side of this city, you should definitely do the tour!

With the terrible weather, we had to move to Plan B, so it was less of a walk. Nevertheless, Chami, our guide, did her best to keep our group engaged. She's refreshingly frank about her country's challenges and needed accountability to move forward, but she delivered her perspective with patriotic optimism. This is an unusual thought-provoking experience.

This tour was honestly one of the best experiences I have experienced as a traveler. I came into the tour with open expectations but what we learned and gathered from Isaac redefined the rest of our time in Athens, shaping conversations with locals in ways that they appreciated, aided us in our further explorations, and provided rich, relevant context to our wanderings thru the city. A fun, lively and interesting mix of PoliSci, history and funny wisdom, the tour winds thru major buildings and probably missed neighborhoods, where he gives a rich background to events that unfolded in and around them, not just centuries ago, but now, as well. A must for those interested in both sides of the story, those looking for something more than the usual, spoon fed tourist attraction narratives, and those who love to know a little about what's going on politically in a place. Absolutely Loved It. Wish I could do this in every place I visit, and even at home.
Issac was a genuine, enthusiastic, HIGHLY knowledgable and insightful guide. He brought color, clarity and context to help us understand how Greece came to its present situation. Thanks Issac for a fun and engaging tour! A great modern counterpoint to the Ancient attractions of Athens.
