This is a great introduction to LGBTQI issues in Greece, both past and current, from a knowledgeable activist. Mary will give you the backstory on a number of issues as well as an outlook on what’s currently going on on the scene. Brace yourselves because it’s not just sparkles and rainbows but contains some heavy stuff, but Mary will give you some hope at the end as well :)

I highly recommend this tour- you learn about the history of Greece through the lens of a highly marginalized, oppressed population. Mary is an excellent source of information and highly considerate of her participants. She went above and beyond to make sure that my partner and I had an engaging, interesting tour.

Mary knows her topic like the back of her hand, and took us back from ancient times to today. Thank you for your kindness.

I had an amazing experience with Mary! I learned so much about the history of women’s rights in Greece and where feminism stands today in Athens. Mary is very smart and does a great job of explaining the important parts of women’s history in Greece. Definitely recommend this experience if you’re looking to learn more and see a different side of Athens!
