Would definitely recommend this experience. It showed us a different side of Athens, one that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Also Isaac is very friendly and a good storyteller and the locations he showed us were .... different. ;)

There is so much more to recent Greek politics than I even knew. It was fascinating to listen to Isaac and I learned things I wouldn't have even thought about! I didn't exactly know what I was getting into but I'm glad I went!

I discovered places that would take me months to find, then piece them together whilst discovering more about sociopolitical, refugee crises, and gentrification of Athens. Highly recommended, highly personalized, and extremely educational!

Isaac is a great guide. He really knows this refugee issue deeply and he brings it to life in his narrative. Even though the huge groups of squatting refugees no longer exist (they are hidden inside camps) we did visit the parks, abandoned buildings and neighbourhoods where the crisis was unfolding a few years ago and one will learn about the cycle of poverty of those groups and how the Greek govt has failed to deal with the problem, even leaving some with no alternative but the sex trade.
