I am beyond culture shocked. Issac took me around to see the neighborhoods that tourists don’t see. I really enjoyed learning about the refugee background and how they survive with whatever they have. This is definitely an off the beaten path kind of tour. You will get to know Athens from a very different perspective.

Really interesting tour! Isaac has great knowledge of the political and economical factors involved. So grateful to him for helping me distribute some items to families we came across and appreciate him being able to take me to places I’d only read about...and some areas I would never have known about and never have visited alone! Really different side of Athens seen and crucial for not forgetting the challenges disadvantaged people in society face.

5/5 stars! This is the perfect tour if you are visiting Athens and are looking for something a little different/love talking about history and politics. Isaac is so intelligent yet personal and it make the tour incredibly enjoyable. Greece has such a complex history, but he makes it easy for anyone to understand. I especially love the way that he weaved the past into modern issues that Greece is seeing today.

My favorite thing I did in Athens by far. Mary is incredibly passionate and thoughtful. As a queer person myself, I felt honored to know some of the queer history of Greece told by someone who was so involved in it. Everything Mary told me and my husband I will cherish forever and share with others back home. From the stories to the historical facts that led to them. It’s an unforgettable walk through time filled with moments of joy, struggle and most of all, hope. Thank you Mary for such an enriching and beautiful experience.

Wonderful opportunity to learn about the history of feminism and walk around Athens but also to have deep insight into a local story and insight the deep seeded cultural constraints & norms in the contemporary Greek landscape! She's very warm and thoughtful :) .
