This was a very unique tour and experience. Our guide, Gustavo, was a wonderful guide. He was communicative regarding plans, reached out to confirm beforehand, and met us on time at the determined location with prepared materials and ready to go. He was friendly, knowledgeable, charming, and had an obvious passion for the city of Mexico. We were worried this tour might “sanitize” the history to appear more palatable to tourists, but the information presented kept it real and encouraged independent thought on important social issues. We were in Mexico City for 8 days and this was easily one of our favorite experiences for the whole trip. The tour was much more thorough then we expected and included a glimpse into everyday life and culture that tourists wouldn’t normally wander into on their own. This was such a cool experience that we plan to look for similar tours everywhere we go now, we didn’t even know this was a thing.

Edson walked us through key moments in Bolivian history and helped us understand the country’s political and cultural context in a way that was easy to follow and enriching. It gave La Paz more depth than just sightseeing. Thank you!

This was, without exaggeration, the best tour we have ever been on. Gustavo is an incredible guide—thoroughly educated, deeply knowledgeable, and possessing a distinct POV that brings the heart of Mexico City to life. He doesn’t just share dates; he shares the stories, scars, and triumphs of the city, from its ancient roots to the current political climate and social injustices. It was so impactful we actually found ourselves shedding a tear during the more poignant moments. We explored the Zócalo, hidden neighborhoods, and an amazing old market, learning through a perfect blend of storytelling and historical images. Gustavo made us feel safe and comfortable the entire time and even surprised us with a special local snack. If you want to truly understand the complex, beautiful soul of CDMX, this is a must-book. He answered every question with incredible depth and nuance. Do not miss this transformative experience—it is the gold standard for walking tours!

Alex is very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about sharing about his home! We covered a lot of ground on the tour, and he was checking in the whole time to keep things tailored to my needs. Would highly recommend this experience as a great start to anyone’s time in Manila, not only to see the city but most importantly to learn about the fascinating social fabric of the country and city!
